Thank you for visiting the Fuzzy Lovies website. All of the creations you find on the website and in my Etsy shop are one-of-a-kind toys, educational materials, holiday ornaments, home decorations, and jewelry -- all handmade and packaged by me in my studio in Portland, Maine.

My love for needle felting began more than ten years ago at a local educator retreat.  I've been felting ever since... First - for my own child, then for all his friends, and then for an eco-friendly children's indoor play space I co-owned and managed for 4.5 years in the Greater Portland area in Maine.

 

When I felt for children, I often transform myself into a memory of a small lush grove where I used to play as a child - where fairies fluttered their sparkly wings along with chirping birds, and where the colorful and safe world was perfect.

 

My felties, including jewelry, often incorporate colorful elements remembered from my childhood and throughout my life. There are whimsical birds from the Russian folklore; bright purple lupine earrings; fluffy yellow mimosa flowers adorning a wool sweater; necklaces with handmade felted beads in earthy colors resembling mussel shells. 

 

My favorite time (aside from spending time with my family) is felting. I hope my creations bring you as much joy.
